1,000 lb. Santa

A hotel in Houston hired a chef to create a half ton sculpture of Santa....in chocolate. Hilton Americas in downtown Houston said it cost them almost $5,000 in chocolate to create the beast of a sculpture. The man who did the sculpting is the chef at the hotel, and he put over 400 hours into making it. Officials are saying the the sculpture has around 2.4 million calories if someone were to eat it. It can't be eaten though because the chef put a coat of lacquer over it to make it shiny.

Chef Mahesh, along with the culinary and property operations teams, created a 1,000-pound Santa in his chair, accompanied by his elves and a wagon full of toys, all made from dark chocolate. Last Pack of Sriracha

An eBay user claims to be selling what is the very last packet of Sriracha hot sauce ever made. Huy Fung Foods, the company that makes the sauce had been partially shut down due to complaints from neighbors that during production, the smell of chiles is so strong it hurts their nose. So an eBay seller named larryhagman is selling a packet for $10,000. Even though other users are selling full bottles for $9, this guy is sticking to his firm price of $10,000 for a packet. I'm not sure if it's a joke or what but he seems to really think it will sell. Experts believe that Huy Fung will open back up soon.

Wandering llama finally caught

A llama has been aimlessly wandering the town Holly, Michigan for the past 6 months. Finally two ladies coaxed it into a barn with some food. They named it Dolly and have no clue where it came from. It's a good thing they captured it now before the harsh Michigan winter, otherwise it probably would have died in the wilderness.

Alabama man wants his wife buried in front yard

A former Marine from Stevenson, Alabama lost his battle with the court to keep his dead wife buried in their front yard. This was her final wish and he wanted to fulfill it. Instead he's getting her cremated so he can still keep her at the house. The city made him do this because it scared some neighbors and also there is a sewer system underneath his house. Drainage from the body could flow into the sewer and that'd be really gross.

Knish Shortage

A knish is a popular Jewish snack made by frying a potato paste of some sort. The top producer of knishes in America had a fire in their factory in September. Now there is a massive shortage and people have been calling and complaining. Many restaurants who stocked knishes took them off the menu and it has created a small outrage. The company says they should be back on shelves by Thanksgiving. Some restaurants  are also taking advantage of this shortage and selling homemade ones on the street, which is very popular among pedestrians.

Thieves were trying to smuggle it over in to Japan when customs checked the bike again and realized it was stolen so long ago. The owner is very excited to ride his bike again and wishes it could talk because a lot has happened over 46 years and he's sure it has been to some crazy places.

Grand Theft Auto Online

The world of online video game play will be permanently changed today around noon. "Grand Theft Auto V" is releasing it's online version of the game today. "Rockstar," the game developer which made the GTA franchise arguably the most popular video game series of all time, is worried about their servers crashing because of overpopulation. The game itself was released 2 weeks ago and sold around 25 million copies, crushing previous records. They expect at least 3 million people to rush online when it is released at noon today, which will push their server capacity and ability to the maximum. Many video games have had this same problem before when millions attempt to all log on at the same time. I know I will be loading it up tonight and trying to play, hopefully it will work....

1966 Volvo Hits Three-Millionth Mile

A new record has been broken in the Guinness Book of World Records. The owner of a 1966 Volvo P1800 has recently hit 3 Million miles on the stock car. Irv Gordon drives his red Volvo up to Alaska from Connecticut twice a year, which he credits most of his miles to. He has never had any problems with the car, and Mr. Gordon says it is the best buy he has ever made. This is important because it shows that if cars are properly maintained, they can last for a very long time.

World's Smallest Horse Stolen!

Charly, a pint-size pony has recently been stolen from his stall in Umbria, Italy. Charly the horse was attending Italy's 47th official horse show on Thursday night when thieves cut a hole in a wire fence which was penning Charly in. Since he is smaller than some dogs, he is pretty easy to transport and this makes things easier for the culprits. The horses owner, Bartolo Messina is devastated. The horse world is not happy with the horsenapping, some say it is a disgrace to Italy's Annual Horse Show. People are also now criticizing the owner for not having a safer, anti-theft pen for Charly. All said and done, there is a missing horse out there and it need to be returned.

Water found in Kenya

Scientists finally have found a water source for Kenya. This is a huge find for the African country because they have been stuck in a drought for a very long time. Clean water is a rare thing in Kenya, and with over 40 million people living there, this could really help the quality of life. Scientists are still trying to figure out how to access the water, but they are positive that it is there. They are also figuring out a way to guard it safely for future generations to come.

13 Injured in Connecticut Fair Ride

Recently thirteen children took a nasty fall on a local fair ride in Norwalk, Connecticut. Police officials tell news reporters the circular swing ride lost power mid session and over a dozen kids fell anywhere between 10 to 15 feet. Most riders fell straight to the ground, but a handful actually hit the ride itself. No serious injuries were reported, but one child was bleeding from the head, others suffered from concussions and sprains. This incident has parents around the nation worried about the safety of amusement rides. I'm not too sure if I would ride any of these local rides after reading this either. The ride was shut down for the the rest of the fair, but the damage was done and I'm sure the ride is all but over for the amusement company.

Record Alligator on the Mississippi

A 727 pound Alligator was recently caught on the Mississippi River. This breaks the previous record by almost 25 pounds. It took a 6 man crew to haul the behemoth reptile into the boat after a hunter shot it with a crossbow. This catch has been eye opening for citizens along the river. The average gator on the Mississippi River is around 500 pounds. Since the new record is over 200 pounds heavier, people are starting to stay more aware about gators. This proves that alligators are growing more and more each year. Who knows, maybe 100 years from now gators will be the size of whales.
