1,000 lb. Santa

A hotel in Houston hired a chef to create a half ton sculpture of Santa....in chocolate. Hilton Americas in downtown Houston said it cost them almost $5,000 in chocolate to create the beast of a sculpture. The man who did the sculpting is the chef at the hotel, and he put over 400 hours into making it. Officials are saying the the sculpture has around 2.4 million calories if someone were to eat it. It can't be eaten though because the chef put a coat of lacquer over it to make it shiny.

Chef Mahesh, along with the culinary and property operations teams, created a 1,000-pound Santa in his chair, accompanied by his elves and a wagon full of toys, all made from dark chocolate. The non-edible chocolate, after it was coated with a preserve, took more than 400 man hours and two months of work to create. (AP Photo/Houston Chronicle, Cody Duty)

Last Pack of Sriracha

An eBay user claims to be selling what is the very last packet of Sriracha hot sauce ever made. Huy Fung Foods, the company that makes the sauce had been partially shut down due to complaints from neighbors that during production, the smell of chiles is so strong it hurts their nose. So an eBay seller named larryhagman is selling a packet for $10,000. Even though other users are selling full bottles for $9, this guy is sticking to his firm price of $10,000 for a packet. I'm not sure if it's a joke or what but he seems to really think it will sell. Experts believe that Huy Fung will open back up soon.
